Boone Moody is a 2017 MIF/OF, RHP with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Goldsboro, NC who attends Rosewood. Medium frame with athletic build, good projection remaining on frame. Ran well, posting a 6.98 seconds 60 yard dash time. Hits with high hand set, loads hands deep to near behind head, wide-based stance, stays short and quick to the ball with solid barrel control, line drive swing plane with good jump off the barrel when squared up. Present power to gaps with more coming. Fielded cleanly in the IF with soft, easy hands. Centers to ball when fielding, moves well and gets in good position, smooth footwork with highly projectable actions. Balanced throughout to release, solid arm strength up to 80 MPH across the diamond. Pitched as well, showed drop and drive delivery, good lower half usage, gets up to high 3/4 slot and generates plane, FB worked 74-77 topping at 78. CB showed 11/5 shape with quality depth on pitch. Very good student.
