Sam Frank is a 2019 C/RHP with a 5-9 185 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends Lamar HS. Short but wide frame with a thick build and broad shoulders. Ran a 7.44 second 60-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary catcher. Shows some explosiveness out of the stance with quick feet. Quick through transfer with accurate throws. Average arm strength topping out at 71 and popping a 1.91 in workouts. Righthanded hitter with a big shift into contact. Short path to the ball with strength in swing. Able to hit to all fields with a line drive path. Showing some raw tools to build upon in the box. Righthanded pitcher with a high arm at the take back. Showing early arm side run to the fastball topping out at 84 miles per hour. Solid curveball with a sharp bite and tight spin that will land for strikes. Also threw a changeup with hard fade. Excellent student as well.
