Jacob Hicks is a 2014 SS/3B with a 5-11 191 lb. frame from Cedar Park, TX who attends Vista Ridge. Medium compact frame with a strong athletic build. Showed good athletic actions at short stop with lateral quickness. Has soft hands with a smooth glove, good footwork and has a good arm with online carry. Has a slightly open tall stance at the plate with a sound approach. Will be aggressive early in the count, has a level line drive swing, displaying bat speed, has good confidence at the plate and hustles down the line. Good speed on the bases which allows him to take an extra base. Is an excellent student.
