Justin Springborn is a 2018 SS/3B with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Gilbert, AZ who attends Campo Verde HS. Large frame with a solid, athletic build. Projects for additional strength. Right handed hitter with a slightly open stance and high back elbow set. Creates good lower half shift into contact with linear actions. Compact, line drive plane with slight loft through extension. Stays balanced throughout with a mid-field approach. Presnt bat speed and turns barrel well to the pull side creating loud contact to the gap. Simple, repeatable swing mechanics with will continue to develop with maturity. Worked out defensively from the infield showing athletic, active feet while surrounding the baseball. Creates solid momentum while working through transition with clean glove to hand exchanges. Creates solid downhill plane while throwing across the infield with accurate carry to the bag. Athletic actions while ranging to both sides and closing on slow roller. Very good student as well.
