Joey Georgini is a 2018 3B/RHP/1B with a 6-2 200 lb. frame from Casa Grande, AZ who attends Mountain View HS. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and strength throughout frame, strong lower half. Ran a 7.26 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, full arm action on throws across from higher release point, developing footwork, gets on top of throws and shows accuracy across with arm strength. Also pitched, graded out higher on the mound this look. Works exclusively out of the stretch and does a nice job of repeating simple mechanics. Hands stay close throughout with compact arm stroke in back working to high three-quarters arm slot. Does a nice job of consistently working down in zone, fastball topped out at 84 mph and projects for more with continued incorporation of lower half. Maintains arm speed on slider well, swing and miss offering, has a feel and shows sharpness with bite when on top. Righthanded hitter, begins with a square stance and a still hand set. Full swing through the zone with some uphill plane at contact, shows strength to pull side when barreled and can hit the low pitch. Upper body swing, shows an approach in the box. Named to National Underclass West Top Prospect List. Very good student.
