Chris Hawkins is a 2014 1B/LHP with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Cypress, TX who attends CyFair HS. Slender young athletic build, projects well, plenty of room to add strength. Left handed hitter, bent knee stance, loads hands close to body, has very good hand quickness, smooth loose extension out front, shows bat speed and can pull the ball hard, game timing inconsistent at this point, has the hitting tools to stand out in the future with added strength and consistency. 7.48 runner, shows some athleticism around the first base bag. Also pitched, short stride delivery with a quick, compact arm action, works from the stretch, fastball topped at 78 mph, mixed in a curveball and change up, threw strikes and had a quick inning. Follow the bat.
