Elijah Tait is a 2016 3B/MIF, RHP with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Teaneck, NJ who attends St Peter's Preparatory. Medium, athletic build with some present strength on frame. Primary third baseman with nice tools for the position. Stays down on the ball well, shows sound defensive actions with good reads off the bat, easy movements on feet, works through ball well, clean glove work, accurate across with arm strength that will continue to develop. Throws from a high three-quarter slot on the mound, long loose delivery. Commanded everything well including a fastball that topped at 75 mph with life to arm side. Right-handed batter, starts with a spread base, stays closed. Keeps hands in on swing, front side occasionally opens early, creates some lift in swing and showed ability to hit to all fields. Good extension in swing, hits the ball out front with developing strength. Very good student.
