Hunter Williams is a 2017 LHP/OF with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from Carrsville, VA who attends Windsor High School. Large build and frame, athleticism, and room to continue to fill out physically and add strength. Posted a 7.51 time in the 60 yard dash. Primary left handed pitcher, started with a high leg raise over waist, short stride, closed landing, long arm action, wrist wrap, and threw from a high three quarter arm slot. Fastball worked 79-82/83 mph with mostly true action and better command to arm side with cut to glove side. Inconsistent drive to the plate from lower half flashing ability to get downhill. Curveball showed 1/7 shape at 69 mph with depth and flashed sharpness. Needs to refine command of pitch, but successfully worked off of fastball. Changeup showed slight fade at 74 mph. Also showed slider at 70 with more 10/4 action and bigger depth. Secondary outfielder, showed a short arm action, very aggressive to the ball, and showed carry with arm strength up to 83 mph. At the plate, started with a wide base, medium hand set, high back elbow, and a leg lift timing mechanism. Direct to ball swing with limited lower half, and flashed ability to time barrel release. Inconsistent swing plane with ability to impact the ball best to the opposite field.
