Deaven Phillips is a 2015 RHP/OF, 3B with a 6-0 155 lb. frame from Dade City, FL who attends Pasco. Has a large projectable frame an athletic build with room to get stronger. Pitches from a low 3/4 arm slot with an easy loose arm action, smooth online balanced delivery. His fastball has arm side run to it with good depth and feel for his slider which he throws to both sides of the plate for strikes. Mixes his fastball and slider to keep hitters off balance, has a plan on the mound and executes his pitches well. Has a leg lift trigger at the plate with an aggressive line drive swing, good bat speed, hits the ball to all fields. Is an outstanding student and an intriguing prospect to follow.
