Jonathan Eng is a 2015 3B/RHP with a 6-3 165 lb. frame from Chicago, IL who attends Young Magnet HS. Large frame with a medium build. Plenty of room to add strength. Hits from the right side of the plate with and open stance and low hand set. Showed good bat speed and the ability to make solid line drive contact. On the infield good footwork and a strong arm. His actions were fluid and worked through the ball well. Also showed the ability to come and get the ball on his slow roller during the workout. On the mound he throws from a 3/4 slot with an easy arm action. Throws a solid curveball with 11-5 break. Could maintain arm speed on his off speed a bit more. Pounded the strike zone during his in game work. Fastball topped out at 79 mph. Outstanding in the classroom.
