Paul Ver Steeg is a 2015 LHP/OF with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Cerritos, CA. Medium, solid build with good present athleticism. Ran a 7.44 60 yard dash. Left-handed thrower, works from a high three-quarter arm slot and creates a tough angle for lefty batters. Does a good job of locating his fastball and curveball. Fastball shows good life and touches 80 mph. Needs to stay on his back leg and force the ball down in the zone. Has occasional cut action on his fastball. Mixes 11-5 curveball well with good depth and late action at 64 mph. Changeup will be a quality offering, and shows late fading action. Excellent student.
