Nathan Purcell is a 2015 C/RHP/3B with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Covington, GA who attends Alcovy HS. Medium, strongly built frame. Ran a 7.56 60 yard dash. Bats left-handed, works from an extra wide, slightly open setup. Has a pull side approach and looks to lift the ball. Flashes power potential and finishes high with his hands. Gets the ball out quickly from behind the plate and makes throws on the bag. More arm strength on the way. Also took the mound, reaches 79 mph with his fastball from a high three-quarter arm slot. Collapses on back leg at times. Also mixes an 11-5 curveball with depth and a 72 mph changeup. Good student. Named to National Underclass Main Event Top Prospect Team.
