Samuel Vega is a 2014 2B/SS with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Vega Baja, PR who attends International Baseball Academy HS. Medium build, beginnings of some present strength. 7.07 runner, moves well to the ball defensively, soft hands and some flair at the ball, has some present arm strength, will have to improve accuracy on throws. Right handed hitter, calm simple late load, low hand start, some uppercut in swing, has quick hands and can catch up to good velocity, handles the barrel well and makes spray line drive contact. Very good student, commitment to North Carolina A&T. Named to the Caribbean Showcase Top Prospect team.
