Wayne English is a 2013 1B/ with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Pace, FL who attends Pace HS. Large frame with a strong build. Throws from a low arm slot, short arm action, good fielding actions, has agility in the field, good feet around the bag at first. Starts with a spread, wide base, high hand set at the plate, has a good load, shows bat speed, good swing, gets good extension, stays inside the ball well, is a gap to gap hitter with pop in his bat, makes solid contact, has a high finish. Is an interesting prospect to follow and is an excellent student.
