2012 Midwest Underclass Showcase
Dwight Sutter is a 2015 RHP/OF with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from Ladue, MO who attends John Burroughs School. Slender young build, minimal present strength. Compact arm action, hides ball well, tight high 3/4's arm slot, tends to fall off to the first base side on release. Mid 70's fastball topped out at 77 mph, mostly straight with occasional arm side run. Shows some feel for his change up with some cutting action, soft curveball shows occasional depth when on top at release. Right handed hitter, aggressive swing, tends to get bat started late, good extension out front, projects a bit with the bat. Shows some raw arm strength from the outfield, low 3/4's arm slot different than what he shows on the mound. Good student.
