Jonah Beamon is a 2018 SS/2B with a 5-8 160 lb. frame from Charlotte, NC who attends Charlotte Christian HS. Compact infielder's build, has good strength in his hips and core. Switch hitter, swung the bat well in batting practice from the right side and well from the left side in games, has tools from both sides, uses his strong lower half well to generate bat speed and stays short to the ball. Showed good footwork in the infield, polished actions, stays balanced and works through the ball smoothly, arm action will get long at times from shortstop and might be best suited for second base at the next level. Ran a 6.73 at the PG Junior National Showcase. Good student, verbal commitment to South Carolina.
