Cory Coggins is a 2014 C/MIF with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Gallatin, TN who attends Gallatin Senior. Has an extra large projectable frame with a strong athletic build. Displayed good defensive actions behind the plate with a good lower half and soft hands. Is a good receiver with a quick release and throws have carry on them. Showed good footwork at short stop with soft hands and his throws are online. Starts with an open squatty stance at the plate with his hands away from his body. Has a direct swing path to the ball, has bat speed, with strength in his swing. Is an excellent student and a player to follow.
