Sam Armstrong is a 2014 SS with a 5-11 190 lb. frame from Ocala, FL who attends Forrest HS. Medium athletic build, good present strength. Left handed hitter, spread stance, high hand set, aggressive swing with good present bat speed, pull approach, has strength at contact and drives the ball hard, has an idea how to hit. 7.21 runner, aggressive on the bases and gets good reads. Second base tools defensively, arm strength and actions a bit lacking for next level shortstop, grinder who gets in position and makes routine plays. Shows leadership skills on the field and plays the game the right way and will play above his tools. Named to the Top Prospect Team.
