Jason Staub is a 2014 RHP/OF with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Portland, CT who attends Portland. Live, wiry, medium frame with room to fill out. Good athlete with some projectability. Ran a 7.54 60 yard dash. Right handed pitcher who throws from an over the top arm slot. Has a very quick, clean arm and is able to get on top of all his pitches. Easy, controlled delivery which he is able to repeat. Locates his 83-85 mph fastball down in the zone. Very sharp 12/6 which he threw 74 mph and is able to locate the pitch. Flashes a change up which he is able to bury at 74 mph. Showed a strong arm from the outfield with good carry and accuracy. Moves feet well and gets in good position to throw. Right handed hitter with a relaxed, line drive approach and uses the whole field. Named to Top Prospect List. Very good student.
