Addison Wood is a 2014 C/RHP, IF, OF with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Princeton, WV who attends Princeton Senior. Large frame, with a strong, mature build. Ran a 7.46 60 yard dash. Has arm strength behind the plate with carry on throws and good accuracy. Solid pop time and can improve by staying low throughout throws. Receives the ball well and transfers nicely from glove to hand. Right hand pitcher who throws from a three quarters arm slot with short arm action in back. Works from a full windup and topped out at 80 with his fastball, showing arm side run. Curveball flashes 11/5 break while change up dips low in the zone. Bats from the right side and works from a wide base and high hand set with leg lift trigger. Gets hands through the zone consistently on line drive swing path. Swing shows both strength and lift, along with bat speed, resulting in hard contact. Excellent student.
