Santos Avila is a 5'10" 218 pound first baseman and outfielder from Park Vista High School in Boynton Beach, Florida. He has a thick body that is very mature. Santos hits with an open stance that is narrow and upright. He really attacks the ball and had a very good batting practice where he hit a few home runs. He swings hard and has good bat speed. His good extension and lift in his swing generate his power along with his bat speed. Avila showed the ability to be a good defensive player for his size. He had good routes going after balls in the outfield and really hustles at all times. He has good speed for a kid his size and even laid out for a ball showing his desire to play.
