D.J. Lewis is a 2014 OF/LHP with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Santee, CA who attends West Hills HS. Slender athletic build, plenty of room to get stronger. Very defensive centerfielder, good jumps, plus range in all directions, can make the diving play, loose arm with carry, plays aggressively and confidently in the outfield. Right handed hitter, 4.29 home to first, gets good jumps on the bases, open to closed bent knee stance, keeps hands tight to body, short quick swing, has bat speed, back spins ball with carry to the gaps. Also pitched, left handed thrower, fastball to 84 mph, didn't show secondary pitches. Plenty of tools to develop and plays hard.
