Sam Mines is a 2013 RHP/ with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Katonah, NY who attends John Jay Cross River. Well proportioned athletic player. Low slot pitcher who creates a lot of deception and misses bats. Slot varies between sidearm and 10-15 degrees lower. Consistent fastball velo with late arm side run and sink. Long arm action, gets good extension. Slider is out pitch with late bite, good control of pitch. Competitive pitcher who as very effective during his stint on the mound. Excellent student.
