2003 South Top Prospect Showcase   Jul 27, 2003
PG Grade: 7
Gibson is a left-handed hitting catcher that showed his bat is for real. He can catch and throw, but his bat emerged as his best tool. He popped a 2.04 to second base and has playable mobility and defensive skills. He showed a good soft stance in the box, he has some natural power and he drove the ball to all fields. He creates back spin and the ball jumped off his wood bat in a hurry. At 5'11/170, he can get stronger yet and hit the long ball to all fields. Could be a sleeper. Noah is a very good student.
