Nealeigh is a 5-7 junior middle infielder from Ohio with advanced baseball skills and strong fundamentals. He’s done a good job of developing his strength, especially in his hands and arms. Nealeigh hits from a wide stance at the plate with a short, quick swing and no wasted hand motion. If anything, Nealeigh swings down to the ball and showed us a couple of times that he had the strength and bat speed to back spin a ball back up the middle. We imagine that Nealeigh is a very high average hitter in high school and he should continue to make solid, consistent contact against higher level competition. Defensively, Nealeigh profiles best to second base. His footwork is sound around the bag and approaching ground balls and he has a short, quick release on his throws. Some work on his overall lower body quickness would benefit his range in the field. Nealeigh is also an outstanding student.
