2003 World Showcase
Lewter is a LHP/1B who has a strong build and he's only an "04". He is not a speedster, but he runs OK on the bases. He has a strong arm and some very interesting power hitting potential. He takes a good swing with excellent bat speed and hits a lot of balls with back spin. We would bet he hits some long home runs with the metal. He is strong enough to handle the wood right now. He's one excellent hitting prospect to keep a close eye on for next year. He threw low to mid 80s from the mound with good spin on his breaking ball. Also showed a good change. The heater shows good life and he can pitch. He's a good lefty, but the bat is his top tool in our estimation. Be interesting to see how he develops over the next year. He could be a 2-way college guy.
