PG Grade: 6
Isaac Evio is a 2008 C/OF with a 5'9'', 170 lb. frame from Beacon, NY who attends Beacon HS. He has a stout build on a medium frame, with some present day strength. Evio is not big but he plays bigger than he is. He is a competitive, energetic player and it shows when he is catching and in the batters box. Offensively he showed some strength and his swing has some leverage. He made a lot of barrel contact and has some pop. At the college level he is a low-middle of the order type of hitter who can drive in some runs. Defensively he showed good hands as a receiver though he does need some adjustments to his catching technique. Evio put forth good blocking effort and his catch/throw transfer works well. He has coachable skills as a defensive player and can provide some pop at the catcher position at the small college level.
