2025 PG WWBA Workout Showcase (July 5)
Judson Witt is a 2027 C/OF with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from Hurricane, WV who attends Hurricane. Medium current frame with a strong, durable build and the prototypical catchers body. Good athleticism, solid mover and ran the 60-yard dash in 7.16 seconds. Primary position catcher, working from a right knee down stance and replacing the feet well in transition. Feel for the glove, working out front to a clean, consistent midline transfer in time with his lower-body mechanics. Appropriately compact arm path with a quick release, showing real hand speed here. Spins the ball backwards creating nice carry on feeds that were consistently on the bag at second. Ripping throws downhill, reaching 79 mph and a pop-time best 1.91 seconds. RHH working from a wider slightly open stance, starting with the barrel tilted away from the pitcher and employing small leg lift to get started. On time for the most part, using a steeper attack angle and showed lofted impact to the pull side when extended. A bit of length in the bat path but there is real offensive projection here. Skillset for the next level behind the dish to follow here and he is an outstanding student as well.
