Austin Sullivan is a 2010 C/3B with a 5'11'', 165 lb. frame from Mary Esther, FL who attends Fort Walton Beach HS. He has a medium athletic build that should continue to get stronger. Sullivan threw 75 mph during catching drills with a best pop time of 2.02. He has very nice arm strength for his age and had a good quick exchange. Sullivan was comfortable behind the plate and had easy actions. He also played some third base during games and look pretty comfortable and athletic over there as well. Defense will be a strong point for him as he develops. Offensively, Sullivan hits from an open stance with low hands in his set up and a sweeping line drive swing. He's a very patient hitter who looks to go the other way with the ball with a contact approach. His raw bat speed should improve with strength and physical maturity and he has a sound approach right now. His defense will carry him for now. Sullivan is an excellent student.
