Chris Norman is a 2008 OF with a 6'2'', 183 lb. frame from Dicton ON, who attends Prince Edward SS. He is older high school junior who will graduate at age 20 and Norman has the strong, athletic build that looks more mature than his 2008 classmates. He is a strong runner, turning the 60 in 6.99 and getting down to first base in 4.21 from the right side. Norman needs some work with his throwing fundamentals in the outfield but otherwise has good defensive tools. Offensively, Norman has good bat speed and his extra maturity and strength come into play. The ball jumps off his bat hard on contact and he has some lift in his swing for power up the gaps. Norman tends to drift into balls early and hit off balance, which hurts his contact ratio during games but this can be corrected through coaching and repetitions. Norman has good physical tools that can still be developed. He is also a very good student.
