Mitchell Britton is a 2023 RHP/2B with a 5-11 190 lb. frame from Waterloo, ON who attends Bluevale. Strong compact physical broad shouldered build. Works from the stretch with a long off line arm action in back to an over the top arm slot coming through, big leg lift is not consistent and causes balance problems, opens his front side early and has energy at release. Fastball worked in the mid-80's, topped out at 88 mph early, gets good ride up in the zone with his fastball. Change up was a solid pitch with good arm speed. Lacked feel for a curveball but flashed some horizontal life on a soft slider. 7.08 runner in the sixty. Plays the infield when not on mound, has quick feet going to the ball, plays and moves with energy, plenty of arm strength for the left side. Right handed hitter, sets up with a high back elbow load, short swing, tends to cut off his swing out front, upper body swing, has the strength to impact the ball when squared up. Good student. Named to the Sunshine East Showcase Top Prospect List.
