Isaydel Segura is a 2022 LHP with a 6-2 frame from the Dominican Republic. Large, high waisted frame with long limbs and plenty of room to fill throughout moving forward. Left-handed pitcher, begins with an abbreviated delivery, short side step into a leg lift up to belt; tends to open front leg early coming down the mound but lands in line towards the plate. Shorter arm action through the backside working to an over-the-top release point, inconsistent timing with release point but arm strength stands out and topped out at 89 mph with occasional cut action through the zone. Showed 3 different secondary pitches, slider the best of them up to 77 mph with short action through the zone; curveball showed 12-6 shape up to 76 mph which will continue to develop.
