Josh Jeffery is a 2008 C/3B with a 6'0'', 190 lb. frame from Cincinnati, Ohio, who attends Anderson High School. Jeffery has good present strength in his body that give him a durable frame. Defensively he is a solid receiver behind the plate. He has a quiet manner with easy actions. Jeffery has a good release on his throws to second base at 74 mph. He has an accurate arm, and produced quality pop times under 2.00. He also blocks balls well showing that he is a solid all-around catcher. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits from a bent over stance. He has a line drive swing, and shows bat speed through the hitting zone. Jeffery keeps his hands inside the ball and has the ability to hit to all fields. He should be able to hit for average and power at the next level. He also runs well down the line. He is a hustle player, and a good student.
