Stephen Lunsford is a 2009 RHP/IF with a 5'7'', 125 lb. frame from Houston, TX, who attends Memorial Senior High School. He is a young (2009) with a lean frame. On the mound he throws from a high 3/4 arm slot. He gets deep extension on the back side, but is able to get is arm in the proper position and gets good extension out front. Lunsford has good rhythm in his delivery, and is quick to the plate. He shows pitchability mixing in a curveball and changeup to his fastball that topped out at 75 mph. Lunsford gets depth on his curveball with depth and good spin. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits from an upright stance. Lunsford has a fundamentally good swing, and he makes consistently solid contact. He is a line drive hitter with bat control, and has the ability to hit the ball to all fields. There is upside to his overall game.
