2025 PG National Uncommitted Showcase (2026 Grads)
James West is a 2026 RHP/OF with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Florence, SC who attends Eastern Carolina Academy. Compact athletic build. Works from the stretch with simple and repeatable mechanics, loose and quick arm action. Fastball was up to 85 mph with power sinking and running action and lived in the bottom of the zone. Slider was a nice pitch with high spin rates and the ability to throw it for strikes, tight break and some sweeping depth at times. Killed the spin well on a firm change up with some sink. Has a nice mix and ability to throw all his pitches for strikes. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
