David Heasley is a 2006 outfielder from Crystal Lake, Illinois, with a medium build at 5'10", 160 pounds. He hits from the left side with a narrow upright stance. He has quick hands to the ball, and generates a lot of bat speed with good power to his pull side. The ball really jumps off his bat and he has good bat control as well. He showed overall athleticism with a 7.10 in the 60, and 4.49 home to first. Defensively, he has a strong arm from the outfield (79 mph) with excellent accuracy. He also has good instincts, quick feet, and speed which allows him to cover a lot of ground and the ability to play all three outfield positions. He has good tools, and with added strength will be a top college prospect. David is an excellent student.
