Ryan Thompson is a 2008 OF/P from Souhegan HS, residing in Amherst, New Hampshire, with a 6'3"/178 pound frame. Ryan has a tall and lean frame. He hits from a straight stance with a top hand release and quick hands. Thompson has solid bat speed with a line drive approach. He has solid power potential and could be smoother with his swing. Ryan has long arm action from he outfield with a strong arm at 89 mph. He gets behind the ball well and moves well defensively. On the mound, Thompson pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with long and loose arm action. Ryan is max effort on the mound and falls off in his delivery. His fastball jumps out of his hand at 90 mph. He also has a tight slider at 75 mph and his changeup has sink at 72 mph.
