Joshua Wolin is a 2007 RHP/1B/MIF with a 6'2'', 215 lb. frame from White Plains NY, who attends Alexander Hamilton HS. Wolin has a big frame with a thick build. Wolin pitches froma low 3/4 arm slot with a long arm action. He slings the baseball and and has a loose arm. Wolin has a slow controlled delivery and throws with max effort. He doesn’t maintain good balance throughout. Wolin gets sink on his fastball and throws a curveball with 11/5 break. Defensively, Wolin has nice hands at 1B and can make the picks. At the plate, Wolin starts with an average width stance and uses a no load approach. He uses a contact hitter's approach at the plate and has a level bat path. Wolin takes a long stride and hits off his front foot. He will hit with more bat speed as he learns to hit with balance. Wolin is a very good student.
