Chris Pfau is a 2008 LHP/OF/1B from Hickman HS in Columbia, MO with a 5'9", 140 lb. frame. Chris has a lean build with a lot of room to fill out. He showed good athletic ability and a strong arm from the outfield. (83) On the mound Chris throws from a 3/4 arm slot with good extension out front. He has good arm speed with good life on his fastball. His fastball shows nice cut action and broke two bats during the games. Chris features a very nice two-plane CB and a good straight CH. Once he fills out he will see his velocity increase and he already has a good feel for how to pitch. At the plate Chris is an aggressive hitter that hits from a spread stance with a pull approach. He makes good line-drive contact but could work on keeping his weight back some and hitting the ball deeper in the zone. In the outfield Chris has a solid arm with good carry on his throws. He showed solid speed at 7.39 and could project at either corner outfield position. Chris is a good all-around athlete that could develop into a mid to high-level college prospect.
