Mark De Angelis is a 2007 1B/3B with a 6'3'', 210 lb. frame from Eatons Neck NY, who attends Northport. De Angelis has a taller body with a slender build. He has good core strength. Defensively, De Angelis has good feet and moves to the baseball well. He also moves around the base well and and makes the picks at first. He has nice hands. At the plate, De Angelis starts with a wide stance and uses a short stride to start his swing. He has bat wrap and uses a no load approach. De Angelis looks to lift the ball and gets extension at contact. He has present gap to gap power and will hit for much more power as he learns to use his lower half in his swing. He hit well in the showcase games. With some adjustments, De Angelis could turn into a big time power hitter. De Angelis is a very good student.
