Jordan Hoover is a 5-9, 175 lb senior infielder from Canada who also plays the outfield. He ran the 60 in 7.21 and showed good speed out of the box by running a 4.39 from the right side. He showed similar arm strength and defensive actions both in the infield and in the outfield. Hoover fields the ball cleanly with good hands and balance and has an accurate arm with some carry. He probably profiles best for second base. Hoover's best tool is his bat. He is an aggressive hitter who has quick hands and uses his hands to drive the ball when he gets a chance. Hoover showed some pull power and did a good job getting extended out front and showing some lift in his swing. He hit the ball very hard frequently both in the games and in batting practice. Hoover plays the game hard and gets the most of his physical ability. Coaches will enjoy having him on their team because of his approach and his versatility.
