Sosnoskie is a 6-0, 185 lb senior catcher from Virginia with a mature body and some good present strength. He ran the 60 in 7.54 and showed very good arm strength in drills with 76 mph velocity and a best pop time of 1.93. He's an athletic and active catcher behind the plate. Offensively, Sosnoskie has an exaggerated open to closed approach at the plate with a long stride that often leaves him off balance when he starts his swing. He has a full, aggressive swing that generates very good bat speed. The ball jumped off Sosnoskie's bat well on contact and he shows some gap to gap power. Better balance would help him use his strength better and create more consistent hard contact for the next level. He definitely has natural hitting ability and power potential. Sosnoskie also pitched, showing an 80-82 mph fastball with good sinking and cutting action.
