Neal is a lean 6-0, 160 lb senior catcher from Texas with a slender build. He showed good athletic quickness on the field and ran 7.21, very good for a catcher. Neal threw 72 mph during drills with a best pop time of 2.20. At the plate, Neal has a slashing swing with middle of the field contact. The bat looked heavy during batting practice but Neal made the adjustments to wood and swung much better against live pitching. His bat projects well as he gets physically stronger. With his athletic ability and speed, Neal can probably play other positions than catcher as well.
