Brett Wigder is a 5'9" 160 pound 2007 middle infielder from Trumbull, Connecticut who attends Trumbull High School. He has a lean build that shows good upper body strength. Brett takes an aggressive approach at the plate. He has a good swing and knows how to hit. He keeps his weight back very well on offspeed pitchers and makes solid contact. Widger has good actions in the infield. He has a very quick transfer and release with soft hands. His arm is accurate and strong which he showed by throwing 77 mph across the infield during the workout. Brett is a top level prospect with solid tools. He is a good follow for 2007 who is also a good student.
