2013 Northeast Top Prospect Showcase
Brian DeMaio is a 2014 LHP/ with a 6-3 170 lb. frame from Wallingford, CT who attends Mark T. Sheehan. Extra large, lean frame with long limbs and a very projectable build. Ran a 7.35 60 yard dash. Left handed pitcher who works from a high three quarters arm slot. Throws easy and gets some downhill plane on his pitches. Front side tends to open early but has good arm speed which helps him pound the strike zone with two pitches. His fastball topped at 81 mph with occasional arm side run. Has feel for curveball which topped at 71 mph and flashes 1/7 break. Looks the part and more velocity will be coming. Very good student.
