Andrew Almquist is a 2015 OF/RHP with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Liberty Township, OH who attends Lakota East. Medium, athletic build. Good present foot speed, ran a 6.91 60 yard dash. Showcases quality outfield actions, has some carry on his throws and is consistently on the mark. Hits right-handed, works from an upright stance and gets on his back leg looking to drive the ball. Shows an aggressive, handsy approach and is quick to the ball. Also took the mound, works from a high three-quarter arm slot and cranked his fastball up to 84 mph. Also mixes a sharp 11-5 curveball at 71 mph as well as a low 70s changeup. Attacks the strike zone. Good upside on the hill. Very good student.
