Patrick Shore is a 2016 1B/LHP with a 6-3 200 lb. frame from Longview, TX who attends Pine Tree. Extra-large, athletic build with long limbs and a projectable build with additional room to fill out. Showed nice feel around the first base bag, hands play, quick transfer with accurate throws across the diamond. Left-handed pitcher, throws from a three-quarter arm slot and came out attacking with full three-pitch mix. Repeats mechanics well and shows comfort and pitchability on mound. Fastball topped at 77 mph, showed running life to arm side and works ahead in the count. Maintains arm speed on changeup and shows sinking life at 65 mph. Showed a curveball at 62 mph for strikes with 1-7 shape. Left-handed hitter, starts with an even stance and a high hand set and back elbow. Short path to the ball, line drive swing plane and gets the barrel through the zone. Stays inside the ball, simple swing and repeats, shows some barrel feel with ability to create contact to all fields. Good student.
