2013 Sunshine East Showcase
Kyle Frick is a 2016 C/1B with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from New Port Richey, FL who attends James W. Mitchell HS. He has a medium frame with an athletic build. Square shouldered with room to fill out. At the plate, he hits from the right side with a high hand set and slightly open, upright setup. He showed good bat speed and strong wrists through contact. Gets good extension and made solid line drive contact. Behind the plate he has a quick clean transfer and gets rid of the ball quickly. He could stay a bit lower on his throw downs but his feet are fast and his footwork is solid, does a nice job of gaining ground. Popped a 2.07 during the workout. Very good student.
