José Tirado is a 2014 RHP/1B with a 6-1 212 lb. frame from Carolina, PR who attends Carlos Beltrán Baseball Academy. Strong thick chested build, mature look. Slow paced simple delivery, long extended arm action, low 3/4's release point, pause at the top of his delivery. Fastball to 81 mph, mostly straight with occasional flat run. Throws both a slider and curveball, big rolling break on curveball, shorter flat break on slider. Confident in change up, hits almost all velo points between 81 and 65 mph, mixes and tries to pitch. Also plays first base, flashed some right handed pop from an uppercut swing.
