Tyler Roy is a 2014 C with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Jamul, CA who attends Valhalla. Medium frame, young immature physically but projects for increased strength with maturity. Quck feet behind the plate, posted an impressive 1.91 pop time in the catcher workout with a 76 mph throwing velocity. Longer arm action with a quick release, arm projects well. Hits from a slightly crouched and closed stance, long rotational swing to pull the ball with a line drive swing plane. Good student.
